Roman Pizzerias

FiorFiore: Piazza a Taglio (sliced Pizza) Very Roman!!

This old bakery place, was turned into one of the busiest place in the Spanish Steps area, especially at lunch time, where you can get one of the best Pizza a Taglio in town.Other then the very simple options(tomato souce only, tomato & mozzarella) you also have several toppings available. The place is not huge, but there are few tables inside and outside. Salads and drinks also served. The staff is very fast and overall professional.

Favorite Pizza are: Broccoletti e salsicce Funghi e mozzarella but they are all very good and served as soon as they get out of the oven.If you like it "HOT" there is some chilly peppers self service. In summer time they also have good home made ice cream.

Price: less than US$10
Address: Via della Croce 17 - just around the corner from the Spanish Steps
Phone: 06.6791386

Best Pizza in Rome?: Pizzeria Baffetto

This tiny restaraunt is declared the best pizza in Rome by all the guidebooks and Gormet magazine. If the lines outside are to be trusted, it is the best, or at least the best publicized. We decided we had to try and we thrilled that it would be a cheap dinner. The pizza was excellent and the brushetta just enough to knock off the edge of hunger after a long day of exploring. The place is TINY and so to have five people at a table was crammed. The staff was rushed and the table fee higher than usual. Still, it was a fun experience and worth a little wait.

Pizza Margherita.
Price: less than US$10
Directions: Near Piazza Navona

L'angolo di Napoli

The place is an original corner of Naples, where the cordial welcome goes hand in hand with the liveliness
of napolitan aromas. The "L'angolo di Napoli" pizzeria and restaurant gives you the opportunity to savour its excellent traditional pizza napoletana, prepared exclusivily in a wood-fuelled oven, as well as the tasty proposal of the grill. Pizza also served at lunchtimes.
